Do you like to return to the places you love? We love Taipei 101, but even though we’re here almost every day, we don’t get a stamp for every visit. One is enough, right? Isn’t it? You can check-in at a place you’ve already visited, and even if you don’t get a new stamp, each check-in increases your chances of getting a Mayor’s Badge. You just have to be the person who visits the place most often. In addition to the glory of being admired, mayors at some locations can earn special rewards from our partners!

Stampbook is not just about chasing stamps. Every check-in and every stamp is your unique memory. Just use the app for a while and you’ll start to create a beautiful record of your memories from your travels in Taiwan. Up to 5 photos and a short story can be added to each check-in. Look back at your timeline and an attractive travel diary will open before your eyes, bringing your memories to life. You can find where you were a month or a year ago easily and clearly in a few clicks and swipes.

We assume that you are not a newcomer and have already visited some places in Taiwan. It would therefore be a shame to start from scratch with stamp collecting. For this reason, you will find a “backlog” function in the Stampbook app, which allows you to upload photos from the previous year (for the Free account only 1 month) and for each place you visited in our database you will be immediately rewarded with the corresponding stamp and points. You came back from a trip and forgot to check-in? Again, no problem. The Backlog allows you to check-in for up to 7 days retrospectively (but for the Free account it’s 2 days only).

Everyone likes to show off their photos and travel experiences to their friends. Well, we’ve got you covered: Your travel diary and photos will be displayed on timeline to friends who follow you (Commenting and liking is a matter of course. Everyone loves a bunch of likes ;-)). However, we don’t want to compete with the big players in the social media field, so you can also easily (and automatically) share each of your achievements on Line, Facebook or Instagram. I like it!

Our app is suitable for everyone! From 1 to 100 years. Everyone loves to travel and everyone loves to explore Taiwan. Plus, as one family, you don’t have to have several phones with the app and create the same check-in several times each time. Take advantage of our convenient “family account” and you can share Stampbook with up to three other users. And when your kids grow up and start travelling on their own? There’s nothing easier than migrating your shared check-ins to a classic account one day. Memories and stamps from the past will remain, and your son or daughter can continue to explore Taiwan.

In the Stampbook app, you’ll find a huge number of interesting places and passports to follow and travel by. For each place you will find basic information, photos of other users and everything is easily traceable in the app. For planning future trips, there is then the option to save places to go next time to your bucket list.

You don’t want to share your checkins with the world? No problem! For each check-in, you can choose to show it to the public in all its glory or keep it for your eyes only. Your privacy is our top priority and your data and unforgettable memories are always safe with us.

Discovering Taiwan and collecting stamps is not a matter of one month. We know from our own experience that getting to know our home properly is a matter of many years. If not a lifetime. That’s why we plan to add more and more interesting travel lists and locations in the future and improve the functionality of our app. Then one of our top priorities for the future is to launch Stampbook and allow you to collect stamps in our favorite Japan!!!

Since 2011 we have been discovering the beauty of Taiwan together and thanks to our work in tourism industry and our enthusiasm for travel we have had the opportunity to spend hundreds of days and thousands of hours exploring the most secret corners of this tiny island. We have traveled half the globe together, however we think our home is the most amazing place to live and travel. What do you think?

At first glance, it may seem that Taiwan is a small island that one gets to know sufficiently in a few weeks or months. But the truth is that even one lifetime is not enough to know Taiwan and all its secrets. However over the past few years, we have grown tired of traveling repeatedly to the most famous, but also the most overcrowded destinations. And so the idea for the Stampbook was born…

My guess is that each of you has come across this or similar (there are millions of variations) little book – the Taiwan travel passport, which is used to collect stamps while traveling around the island and as a simple travel journal. We like them and we have several of them at home and many more have been lost, destroyed by wind/rain/typhoon or just buried somewhere in the depths of our home. And that’s a pity…

One day we accidentally discovered a beef noodle soup restaurant in Taipei whose owner has been all around Taiwan and collected a stamp at every place he visited. Today, one wall of his restaurant is covered with posters of stamps (just like those in our Taiwan travel passport books) from all over Taiwan. Kind of personal hall of fame. And we liked it…

Recent experiences have inspired us to change our travels. One evening, we made a simple list of places we have not been and wanted to go in Taiwan. The further into the unknown the better. A second version of our Taiwan bucket list followed shortly after. This time with the aim to visit all 368 townships in Taiwan. We just had to look through our older photos to find out that we have visited only about 2/3 of them in Taiwan so far. That was quite a disappointment. We are not as good Taiwan travel experts as we thought…

Eventually we added a few dozen more lists – visit all the train stations in Taiwan, all off-shore islands, all night markets, old streets, climb all the 100 highest peaks, and see all the religious festivals… Wow, even though we’ve been to so many places already, the ones we have yet to visit were predominant. We spent the whole year 2020 filling in the white spots on the map, but as we found out ourselves, our lists were filling up with new places faster than the ones we had visited…

And then one fateful day, we were on our way back to Taipei from the mountains of Hsinchu, soaked and wet, we got the idea our personal quest to become the most travelled travellers in Taiwan could be an interesting challenge for others. And so the first idea for our app was born. We are not and do not want to be influencers or celebrities. We just enjoy being together and exploring Taiwan together. And we think that through Stampbook we can inspire you to explore the unknown of Taiwan. Alone, with your friends or family. Believe us, there are plenty of places you’ve never been and never heard before…
